your REAL wall from Sunnysidey in Australia

In today's inbox - my postcard has arrived in Australia!

From: Sam Farman
Date: 2010/1/19

Hi Andy,

Your card arrived! Here's a pic of it on my wall :-)

Thank you for making such a cool card, and thanks also for helping me with the pronunciation of Bosham [it's pronounced "Bozzum" - Andy]. I could have done with your assistance a few years ago when I was in the UK and asking for directions to Hartlepool (when I discovered that it did not rhyme with Bartle-fool)!

I'll set to work on a fabric card for you very soon. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Sam

My Postcard from Bosham was made up of 2 postcards both from Bosham, of a church. I've never been there, so it was very weird that I should find 2 postcards of a church there, one drawn, one a photo, both taken from exactly the same angle. I bought the photo one on ebay last year then was so surprised when I found the drawn one in a charity shop last weekend. This halfcard was my first of the 2010. See my other halfcards on my flickr site

Some great cards there! and even one from Dumpsterdiversanonymous too. The world of REAL post is truly tiny it seems

Sam does amazing art. And writes a delightful letter to boot!

I don't know if it the REAL post world is really that tiny... I currently have 5681 addresses in my address book... everyone I've sent something to for the last four years. But most are one hit wonders. A goodly portion are two or three times a year correspondents, but my list of regulars is only about 40 or so.

Good job Andy!

I like this postcard. I think you should add something trade mark in Australia to prove that you've been there like your pass port stamp, etc.

But over all, this was a nice idea.

I hope I'm doing this right... Lindy (collagecafe04) from blogger ... I've never seen a REAL wall before... it's very interesting and I'm looking forward to following....

I don't usually add to my address book I must confess, unless I get more than 3 posts. I guess I like the dialogue that is created and really like to see the style of certain mailartists or letter-writers bulding up over time. Obviously I'll always welcome the one-shots and try and answer to everyone but I'm not sure my address book is ready to accommodate all of them.

Sam has been great to chat to online, and I'm surprisewd she has gone under my radar for a whole year!
