Bird Flu - a your REAL wall from am-y
A bit of a pleasant REAL wall surprise came into my inbox today from the brilliant am-y from Singapore.
I recently sent her a card, and remember her description as being the arty type who would appreciate a more arty card, so I dug up a dance card and popped it in the post.
Much to my pleasant surprise this evening I got a Flickr mail showing me that my card had arrived and found it's way onto her REAL wall in Singapore.
I'm sure you'll agree, this is a fine example of REAL wall and a pretty damn cool T-shirt too!
Thanks for the feature! =D Many Postcrossers will spot their cards too! ;D Thankfully, even though this room has been completely filled, I have another 2 more rooms! lol My walls are a constant work-in-progress - the material you see stuck on dates back to as far as 2002 when I first started sticking stuff on!

My pleasure am-y! What a great wall, it sounds like I have some catching up to do myself! :-D
I'll make sure to put you on my travel postcard list for future trips and will try and fill those other rooms up over time. As you can see in the left hand side, you now even have your own label on the site (under your REAL wall), so I'm looking forward to seeing those other rooms with new cards on them.
By the way, I don't spot any mailartists on your wall - is that something you do?
Last year I had one wall completely covered with postcards that I had collected over many years, like 4 or 5" high if you stacked them up. I took them down and now they're stored at my mom's, but this just reminded me I should display all the new and incoming art mail. Right now they're in a ziplock bag. I feel like horrible mail mommy.

I always save the putting up/decorating for when I'm stressed - it's a great way to relieve frustration and the way it's put up is a great form of self-expression!

Aw thanks! I'm so looking forward to that! I am yearning to travel too this year, but as I have a major recital planned for December, I doubt it will happen. =(
But your address has been recorded in my book since the last time we communicated though, so no worries! ;)
I would LOVE to get/do mail art, but as of now the closest that comes to that is handmade postcards, of which I have some done by one of my US penpals who's a creative genius. =) I'll try to take more postcards soon. By the way, what kinds of postcards do you fancy the most? I'm trying to do more handmades these days - http://postalbliss.tumblr.com - I've made 2 handmades recently and loved the process!

Yeah I like the idea of arranging artworks to create a new art. Installation art I think they call it. Very therapeutic I find
Yes indeed - "therapeutic" is the word! (^ ^)
Along that line, I just bought some butterfly stickers a few days ago and had so much fun sticking them on my wall mirrors; I felt so good after doing that, and besides, they have made my mirrors so much nicer to look at now! =D
